First Accomplishments
The declaration of national interest is obtained from the government. The first caviar extraction is performed on Sterlet sturgeons –especially brought as they mature a year earlier –, anticipating we should expect a positive outcome with the Siberian sturgeon the following year. The loan for use of UTE’s land is renewed for further ten years.

Se realiza la primera importación de huevas fertilizadas directamente desde Rusia por vía aérea, en lo que fue un acontecimiento histórico sin precedentes, dado que nunca antes se había trasladado este tipo de material vivo del hemisferio norte al sur.
First Import
First import of fertilized roe from Russia by air, an unprecedented historic event as this kind of living material had never been carried from the Northern to the Southern Hemisphere by this means before.
Comienzan las obras
Se consiguen los permisos para utilizar el agua del embalse de Baygorria para la cría de los esturiones. Se comienza la construcción de la planta de producción de ración, a unos 75 km de la granja. También en este año se construye la granja de cría.
Construction Works Begin
The necessary permits to use the water from the Baygorria Dam for sturgeon breeding are granted. The construction of a feed production plant begins approximately 75 km away from the farm. The breeding farm is also built that year.
